What is Braftovi used for?
Braftovi (encorafenib) is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of certain cancers with a mutation (change) in their genes called 'BRAF V600'. It is indicated:
In combination with Mektovi (binimetinib) to treat people with a type of skin cancer called melanoma:
- That has spread to other parts of the body (metastasized) or cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable), and
- That has a BRAF V600E or V600K mutation.
In combination with cetuximab, for the treatment of adults with colorectal cancer (cancer of the large bowel or rectum):
- That has been previously treated, and
- That has spread to other parts of the body, and
- That has the BRAF V600E version of the mutation.
